Children's rooms - best of 2011 - Part 3

Boys' bedrooom with bunk beds

Small bedrooms benefit from clever storage and bunk beds, like in this boys' bedroom. The white, wipe-clean furniture and storage space help to clear the clutter and keep the room clean - great if your kids are really young.

Children's room with zones

Zoning-out a room creates the illusion of more space. Here, the study area is a stimulating orange, and the sleeping area is a calming pale grey. With a subtle change of colour this bedroom design would work for boys as well as girls.

Unisex children's twin bedroom

When children are young it doesn't matter too much whether their bedroom is 'girl' or 'boy', so a white colour scheme with a bright pop of colour, such as these vibrant teal walls, is perfect. Putting the two beds along one wall with a dressing table in the middle and cupboards above the bed makes the most of storage space.

Girl's attic bedroom

White walls and coir flooring keep this attic bedroom light and airy. Fun circular stencils on the wall add a bit of colour and are easy to paint over. The mixture of furniture styles, pattens and colours add to the fun style and mean it's an easy bedroom to update with a lick of paint and some new accessories.
