Trouble with your plants even though you've watered them? Take a look at how to make your own wetting agent.
If water pools after you water your plants you may have water repellent soil. The use of a wetting agent can help alleviate this and make sure your thirsty plants are well fed.
Step-by-step
1. Combine
In a jug, slowly add boiling water to some food-grade agar-agar and stir to make a paste about the same consistency as wallpaper paste.
2. Dilute
Using a watering-can, dilute 250ml of the paste in 4.5L of water.
3. Water
Water onto seed beds, seedlings, flower beds and plants in containers.
